On Friday shortly before 4 p.m., a 63-year-old from the Perg district drove his motorcycle along the B 124 from Haid towards Königswiesen. His 60-year-old partner was also riding her motorcycle behind him. In a left-hand bend in the Königswiesen municipality, the 63-year-old left the road for an unknown reason, fell and came to rest in the adjacent meadow, seriously injuring himself.
His partner and a car driver who happened to be passing by immediately provided first aid. A police patrol and the emergency medical team also tried to resuscitate the man. Tragically, the driver died at the scene of the accident due to his serious injuries.
