New rumors suggest that the next 24-inch iMac you can count on chips M2 e M2 Pro, as well as notable features like Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E support, and Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility. The informations are from Macotakara.
Still according to the website, some custom configurations of the 24-inch iMac, launched in May 2021, would be facing shipping delays in the United States — and this would be one of the signs that a new generation might arrive soon.
However, according to the MacRumors, this delay has been going on for some time and doesn’t necessarily confirm an imminent iMac update. Furthermore, other products, such as MacBooks Air and Pro, are also experiencing similar delays.
It is worth remembering that Mark Gurman (from Bloomberg) commented, a few months ago, that the next iMac should already be equipped with an “M3” chip. Last month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that new MacBooks with the “M3” are unlikely to be released this year.
The divergence between all sources leaves the situation uncertain, indicating likely changes in Maçã’s plans. Still, the possibility of a new iMac being launched this year has not been ruled out.
As the Cupertino giant will most likely not hold an event until the end of this year, any iMac announcement will probably take place through a statement on the company’s website.
