It was undoubtedly the quietest day for Sébastien Loeb and Fabian Lurquin on this 2023 Rally of Morocco. The Bahrain Raid Xtreme crew completed the 19 km Prologue of this final of the World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC ) in 12th place, 35 seconds behind Mattias Ekström (Audi).
A sandy prologue today of 19 kilometres for the Bahrain Raid Xtreme team here in Morocco, but it gave a chance for our photographer to capture great shots of Seb + Orly attacking hard.????????

The serious things will begin on Saturday with a grueling stage of 708 km, including 319 of a timed section towards Zagora and its famous dunes. “It was a decent special”judged Sébastien Loeb once back at the Agadir service park. “The speed wasn’t great in this Prologue, but we still placed ourselves promisingly for the first stage. It’s not so bad. »
In fact, Sébastien Loeb will only have 11 vehicles in front of him when he sets off on Saturday morning. The effects of the dust raised as well as the track dug by the wheels of the cars before him will not be as significant as for Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota), rejected in 38th place.
Beyond this location, the Alsatian is trying to regain his automatisms in a sport that he has not played for almost six months. “I’m trying to get my feelings back in the car. It’s been a long time since we last rode W2RC with Fabian (since the Sonora Rally at the end of April, concluded by an accident in a ditch. Editor’s note). There are still a couple of things to adjust and we hope that the first stage will go well tomorrow (SATURDAY). »
