A Logitech launched this week a new keyboard, the Wave Keys, whose main highlight is its more ergonomic, wave-shaped design. The product also has a wrist support at the bottom, making use even more comfortable. There is also full compatibility with macOS, facilitating usability on Apple computers.
Compared to the brand’s old keyboard that also had this format, the new model has a more compact and modern look, with less space between the keys and a larger wrist rest, made up of three layers of viscoelastic foam. The product is available in matte white, graphite and pink and is certified by United States Ergonomics.
Compared to MacBook keyboards and even the Magic Keyboard, the Wave Keys’ keys have more depth, which also contributes to typing comfort. According to 9to5MacHowever, the keys are not very noisy and the experience is quite smooth.
The new keyboard also has special attention to sustainability, being carbon neutral, like other Logitech products. The paper used in the product’s packaging is made from wood from forests with reforestation certification and other controlled sources, while the plastic used in the device is post-consumer recycling. 61% of the plastic parts of the graphite model and 46% of white are recycled.
Regarding connectivity, the keyboard has Bluetooth and is compatible with different systems — such as macOS, iPadOS and Windows. Some keys share Windows and macOS functions, making it possible to customize functions and create shortcuts and Smart Actions to optimize the workflow in the application Logi Options+.
You can switch between up to three different devices quickly with just the press of a button. The Logi BOLT USB adapter is included in the box, which allows the keyboard to connect to a computer or other device securely, with encryption and low latency, without the need to use a Bluetooth connection.
The keyboard is powered by two AAA batteries, with a lifespan of, according to Logitech, up to three years. Wave Keys cost, in the United States, US$60 and will start to be sold in some markets from tomorrow (10/13) in graphite and white, while the pink one will only hit the market next year.
