Jerusalem – The family mourns the death of a 19-year-old Israeli military officer who was killed during an attack by Hamas in Israel. Corporal Nama Boni (19), who served in the 77th battalion of the armed forces, died. Bonnie was injured on Saturday when Hamas launched a surprise attack. Boney sought shelter in an empty place out of sight of the assailant and informed her family regarding her injury.

“I miss you all. I have a head injury and the assailants may shoot at me. Currently I am with an injured soldier from the Golani Brigade.” – she said in the message. After a while Bonnie sent another message. “The terrorists are here. I can hear someone screaming, it seems someone is dead.” – she wrote.

The woman’s relative told the media that Boni was on duty at the border when the attack took place. “At around 7:30 am, she sent us messages regarding assailants firing at her, following which she did not respond,” Bandhu said. The family said that they tried to reach Bonnie following this, but were told that she was admitted to a medical center in Brazil and were not informed regarding her condition.

“We wanted to believe that she was alive. But when the army officers visited her parents, we confirmed that.” – said the female relative with a whimper. Born in the city of Afula, Bonnie joined the Israeli army seven months ago.
