Days ago, the accountant Manuel Lallana, a renowned professional, university professor and public official, died in Córdoba. Graduated from the National University of Córdoba in 1959, he founded the Fides studio together with other professionals and was treasurer of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences. He joined the team at Grant Thornton International, one of the largest international audit and tax organizations.

He was Undersecretary of Economy of the Province in 1959, and years later he created in the Ministry of Economy of the Nation a Department of Insolvency and Bankruptcy for special cases, in which the call for creditors of Argentina Televisora Color (ATC) was processed.
He was also financial manager of Encotesa; auditor and Administration Manager of the National Communications Commission (CNC), and Purchasing Director of the Municipality of Córdoba in 2000.
He was also trustee of one of the most important bankruptcies of the 1970s: that of Mario A. Luque Edificadora.
In academic terms, he was a professor of Costs at the Catholic University of Córdoba, an assistant professor at the UNC and a secondary teacher at the Corazón de María and Peña schools.
Manuel Lallana, “Lito”, was married for 63 years to Nidia Cuervo, “Susy”, with whom they had seven children: Carlos, Silvia, Fernando, Gustavo, Pablo, Graciela and Cecilia, to whom were added political children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
