On this occasion, Joaqui also expressed her admiration for the young man’s talent and extended an invitation to collaborate in future performances: “I want to ask you a question: you said the other time that you would play with me, and I want to know, am I serious? , I have a very important particular project that I would like to accomplish. I want to know if you would play with me when you become famous, will you promise me?” Without hesitation Thiago answered affirmatively and even went down from the stage to where the singer was to reaffirm that promise.
At that moment of the night the jury activated the “golden button”, an option that each judge can use only once in this instance, thus ensuring Maldonado’s direct pass to the final of the competition. The rain of papers and the shouts and applause of everyone present were immediately noticeable, while the timbalero ran to hug the conductor of the cycle. Visibly moved and with tears in his eyes, the young artist repeated incessantly: “I can’t believe it. Thank you so much everyone”.
