Bergheim (OTS) – The previous Executive Vice President Global HR at Jenoptik, Maria Koller, will take over human resources and legal affairs in the PALFINGER AG management team as of January 8, 2024. She is therefore largely responsible for the company’s orientation and positioning in the increasingly demanding job market.

“Maria Koller knows from many years of experience how important the best-trained employees are in a technology group. “With their expertise, we are strengthening PALFINGER’s position as an attractive and future-oriented employer,” says Hubert Palfinger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PALFINGER AG. In a labor market that is becoming increasingly demanding and competitive due to demographic change and digitalization, it is important to target potential employees and successfully retain experts in the company. “Her many years of experience at Alcatel in Austria, at Danaher in Great Britain and Germany, at Magna Europa and, since 2017, at the listed technology group Jenoptik, where she was responsible for the HR agenda in a central position, make Maria Koller the ideal person to be chosen,” said Palfinger. Koller’s work focuses on employee development, training and further education as well as change management. With the move to the PALFINGER Board of Directors as CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer), Maria Koller will work closely with CEO Andreas Klauser, CFO Felix Strohbichler and COO Alexander Susanek to advance the company’s positioning as a future-oriented, attractive employer and thus play a key role in the implementation of the Contribute to Strategy 2030.

Maria Koller (51) studied business psychology at the University of Vienna and started her professional career as an HR expert at Alcatel in 1998. After working in Austria, Germany and France as well as at various companies in the Danaher Group Europe, she worked as Vice President HR Global Interiors at the automotive supplier Magna from 2014. From 2017, Koller was responsible for the entire human resources department of the global high-tech group Jenoptik.

“Our employees, their knowledge, skills and commitment are essential to PALFINGER’s success. With Maria Koller, who is responsible for human resources and legal affairs on the board, we are underlining the central importance of human resources for the company,” emphasizes Hubert Palfinger. “Having gained your many years of expertise and proven competence for PALFINGER is a great asset for the supervisory board and the company. I am pleased to welcome her as CHRO to the board of PALFINGER AG,” said Palfinger.
