Abu Dhabi, October 11 / WAM / The Egyptian and Zambian national football teams will meet tomorrow, Thursday, in a friendly match at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, within the framework of the Egyptian national team’s camp currently held in Al Ain, in preparation for the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, and participation in the African Cup of Nations. 2023, scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire early next year.
In addition to this match, the Egyptian national team will meet its Algerian counterpart in another friendly match at the same stadium on October 16, concluding its camp the next day.
The Egyptian national team qualified for the 2023 African Nations Finals, topping the fourth group in the qualifiers with 15 points, while the Zambian national team also qualified to lead the ninth group with 13 points.
According to the international website “Transfer Market”, which specializes in numbers and statistics of players and teams, the market value of the Egyptian national team is 119 million euros, and topping the list of its highest players, in terms of market value, is Mohamed Salah, the English Liverpool player, with 65 million euros.
The total market value of the Zambian national team is 24 million euros, and Baston Daka, the English Leicester City player, tops the list of players with 18 million euros.
The Egyptian national team camp will be held in Al Ain, within the framework of the agreement between the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Egyptian Football Association, in support of the national team’s career and to emphasize the great value of Egyptian football from the technical, popular, media and marketing aspects, in a way that supports the historical relations between the Emirates and Egypt.
