The Football Federation of Saudi Arabia (SAFF) has sent to the FIFA a letter of intent and a signed declaration to present its candidacy to organize the 2034 World Cup.
The sending of this documentation, signed by Yasser Al Misehalpresident of the SAFF, is the official confirmation of the announcement made last Wednesday the 4th and of the country’s commitment to access the candidacy process marked by the FIFA.
According to the federation of the Asian country, this project “reflects the nation’s objectives of unlocking new football opportunities at all levels and their commitment “to support the growth of the beautiful sport in all corners of the planet.”
“Inspired by the social and economic transformation of Saudi Arabia within the framework of Vision 2030, as well as the country’s long-standing love for the beautiful game, the candidacy of Saudi Arabia 2034 aims to welcome the world to the Kingdom and promises an exciting and memorable event for fans,” he adds.
Al Misehal indicates that the world is the country’s invitation to the world to “witness the development of Saudi Arabia, experience their culture and become part of their history”, and assures that they are “committed to presenting the most competitive candidacy possible” that also “will contribute to uniting the world through football.”
