One of the very first video game characters makes his comeback in a curious battle royale
If Pac-Man is perhaps the very first legendary character in the world of video games, it has still been a while since we last heard regarding him.
But that might well change. Indeed, Bandai Namco and Amber Studio have decided to transpose the venerable ancestor of the video game to a decidedly much more modern genre: the battle royale, with PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs!
In this new iteration of the Yellow Pizza character, up to 64 players will be able to compete, eat ghosts and destroy their opponents until only one remains!
So when should we expect this Pac-Man with battle royale sauce? Apparently, we will have to wait until the beginning of 2024 to find the yellow circle and its ghosts on all eighth and ninth generation consoles… and of course on PC!
The game will also be entirely cross-platform and will allow you to play with friends and strangers with personalized Pac-Mans, whether in battle royale or 1v1!
So in 2023, even Pac-Man is getting into multiplayer!
