JERUSALEM Israel–Hamas clashes in Gaza following four days of war. Gaza Finance Minister Jawad Abu Shamla was killed by Israeli forces. Israel confirmed that citizens of 13 countries were killed, including 11 Americans, two Russians and four French. Seven journalists were killed in Israeli airstrikes. Local media reported that Israel fired a banned phosphorus bomb in the Al-Karama region of the northern Gaza Strip. Seven UN hospitals in Gaza were overwhelmed. Medicines are not available. Dead bodies litter the streets. Israel continues to attack refugee camps in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened that although Hamas started the war, they will end it.
