O Bluesky it is releasing an update — version 1.52 of the iOS app — with some new features, in order to strengthen the social network, especially in terms of security. The new features include email verification features, the possibility of changing the registration email and warnings regarding potentially misleading links, as well as other changes to the way the network works.

In the coming days, Bluesky users will receive in-app notifications to verify their email addresses — which, from now on, can also be changed in Settings. After verification, to make changes to the account, you will need to enter a code sent to the registered email to confirm the action.

Another interesting addition is a warning that is now shown when accessing potentially misleading links present in posts on the platform. Bluesky displays an alert when the link does not match its text, warning of the possible danger in order to show the website to which the link directs the user and offer the option to access it.

Furthermore, now the suggestions displayed on mentions by you search prioritize people you follow; It is also now possible to switch between different accounts by pressing the icon with the profile photo at the bottom of the app. An image’s description text is now selectable on the web and, on Android, it is easier to zoom in on photos contained in posts.

Just over a month ago, Bluesky received another update with a set of new features, in order to make the network more complete and attract more users. Although an invitation is still required to register and use the platform, it has already reached the one million userscontinuing, however, far from the 100 million Threads.
