American star Amy Dowden stole the spotlight while attending the Pride of Britain Awards ceremony, following making her first appearance following her cancer diagnosis.
On the red carpet, Doden appeared with a completely shaved head and a long pink dress with a large satin rose on the shoulder, a silver handbag, and diamond earrings.
Amy deliberately wore pink at the ceremony, which took place in October, to highlight breast cancer, which the color pink symbolizes.
Among those in attendance were dance professionals Janet Manrara and Diane Boswell, who came to support their friend. Janet’s husband photographed the three girls on the aisle.
It is noteworthy that Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, and underwent surgery in June, before doctors discovered that she was facing another type of cancer and would need more treatment.
Doden revealed that she shaved her hair following losing many strands during harsh chemotherapy. She announced to her followers on Instagram that she had made the decision to shave her hair at the last minute and with complete freedom.
It is worth noting that this ceremony has been held since 1999 and aims to honor distinguished people in the United Kingdom.
