Brenda would have been a victim of femicide during a party held in a building located in Lomas Verdes, State of Mexico (Special)
More than a year following the death of Brenda Guadalupe Trinidad was reported, the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) of the State of Mexico (Edomex) reported the arrest of who was then her romantic partner. The reason was her alleged responsibility in the femicide, as well as having provided statements that might have hindered the course of the investigations.

Days following the news of her death was announced, family and friends began to lead protests in person and on social networks to demand justice in Brenda’s case. In these spaces, details were revealed such as her career in medicine, as well as her good academic performance.

The 24-year-old woman, according to testimonies from her relatives, was 15 days away from finishing her bachelor’s studies. She even “had just passed her ACLS exam,” that is, Advanced Cardiovascular Support. For this reason, she would have been invited to celebrate her achievement at a party in Naucalpan, in the State of Mexico, on May 14, 2022, where she was murdered.
Days following her murder, Brenda’s family and friends protested by declaring that “we have no progress in the investigation, we do not know if there are any detainees.” Likewise, they remembered that “she was happy, she was fulfilling her dream of being a doctor and she loved life.”
Likewise, Brenda’s friends remembered her as an “activist, feminist and animal defender.” In addition, on social networks they came to recognize her spirit for defending various social causes.

“Brenda, at all times, fought for women’s rights, supporting the feminist movement, as well as defending and ensuring respect for her sexual preference since she openly supported the LGBTTI community,” it was read in various publications.

“Although the detainee had tried to divert the investigation to make it look like an accident or suicide, it was possible to establish that the 24-year-old victim, with the initials BGTD, was a victim of femicide on May 14, 2022, in a building located in Lomas Verdes Avenue, in the State of Mexico.
