In a video shared on Sunday night, five athletes and their coach, members of the Mexican rhythmic gymnastics team, launched an urgent call for help in search of support to be able to leave Israel, in the midst of the current war scenario that is shaking to the country.

In the video, the five talented athletes, Adirem Tejeda, Dalia Alcocer, Julia Gutiérrez, Kimberly Salazar and Sofía Flores, along with their dedicated coach, Blajaith Aguilar Rojas, appeared in a room with white walls and ceiling, all with serious expressions and looks. fixed to the camera.

In their message, the athletes expressed:

“We are the national rhythmic gymnastics team of Mexico. We are currently in Israel in a preparation camp for the next Pan American Games. However, the situation has taken an unexpected and disturbing turn. As you know, the region was affected by an attack by the Hamas Group. Tension and concern have taken over our environment and given the seriousness of the situation, flights have been canceled, leaving us without the immediate possibility of returning to our Mexico.”

The athletes, in their anguish, made a fervent appeal to the Mexican authorities, strongly requesting the support of the Government to achieve a safe and prompt return to their home. They thanked the Sedena (Secretariat of National Defense), the Conade (National Sports Commission) and the FMG (Mexican Gymnastics Federation) for their constant support and contact, as well as the prayers and messages of support they have received. The athletes emphasized that they are safe and well, maintaining the hope of returning home soon.
