Last week the state channel received a bucket of cold water following TVN’s programming director, Roberto Cisternas, presented his resignation from the position. Upon his departure, the manager left a letter dedicated to the workers in which he said goodbye to the officials and took the opportunity to make some criticisms.
“Throughout my management, I have presented numerous proposals and ideas that unfortunately have not been considered (…) I have had to manage decisions with which neither I nor my team agreed. Unfortunately, I have not had the defense I expected, despite representing TVN,” were part of his statements collected by La Tercera.
This resignation was commented on in What I Tell You, where journalist Paula Escobar revealed that Cisterna had dramas with Carmen Gloria Arroyo during his administration. The curious thing regarding the case was that hours before he left his position at TVN, the executive organized a meeting in which he spoke negatively regarding the lawyer in front of the other workers.
“Reckless and undeserved statements”
Paula Escobar contacted “La Jueza” to find out if it is true that Roberto Cisternas described the television face as “a headache” in front of the channel’s workers, a situation that Arroyo confirmed, but avoided entering into controversy.
“Hello Paula, it’s nice to meet you, even if it’s here. I will not refer to the reckless and undeserved statements of someone with whom I had programmatic differences, but not personal ones,” said Carmen Gloria.
Although the lawyer commented that “I always prefer regular channels,” her statements confirmed a bad vibe with Cisternas and also that the former director of the channel spoke badly of the lawyer.
