Unlike regular ads, which are just posts from other X profiles, and have an “Ad” label, these new ones don’t have any accounts associated with them.
If you’re just browsing the timeline, the embedded image and clickbait-style text might fool you into thinking it’s just another post, like any other post on the site. A “profile” photo made from the embedded image helps confuse users.
This new ad format reminds me of what you see on the bottom of low quality “news” websites ????
The ads also cannot be blocked or reported

The Mashable portal points out that the format is not in X’s campaign manager and suggests that the ads are being served by a third-party ad provider.
