Leonardo Castro, scorer for Millonarios, and Juan David Mosquera, right back for the Portland Timbers of the MLS, were called up by Néstor Lorenzo to the Colombian National Team at the last minute, following injuries to Diego Valoyes and Stefan Medina.

“The coaching staff of the Colombia Senior National Team wishes to communicate that the players Diego Valoyes of FC Juárez and Stefan Medina of CF Monterrey will not be able to comply with the call made by the technical director Néstor Lorenzo for the matches corresponding to dates 3 and 4 of the Conmebol Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup″, the Colombian Football Federation reported in a statement.
