The 23rd copy of Vega did not take off on October 6. 14 seconds before the expected moment, a red light stopping the timeline ended the launch attempt. The Vega rocket might be launched this October 7.
Due to measuring slightly above its maximum threshold during the final countdown, the VV23 launch sequence was interrupted Friday evening. The rocket therefore did not take off.
Additional checks are underway to confirm a new launch attempt on Saturday October 7 at 10:36 p.m. (Kourou local time – 01:36 on October 8 UTC).
The launcher, its two THEOS-2 satellites, FORMOSAT-7R TRITON, as well as the 12 auxiliary payloads are in “stable and safe” conditionsreassures Arianespace.
