Nissan Argentina announced that it exceeded 80,000 units of the Frontier pickup which produces in the province of Córdoba, five years following the start of its operations in the country, following investments of approximately US$ 730 million.
«Over the last five years, the Nissan Frontier made its way into three markets, to which it exports 60% of its total production,” the brand communicated in reference to its shipments to Brazil, Colombia and Chile.
The brand assured that it is currently working to «continue promoting national production of the Nissan Frontier to continue gaining ground in a very competitive segment, essential for the economic development of the country.
In this development process, Nissan converted the Santa Isabel Factory, in Córdoba, into the export center of Euro6 vehicles for Latin America.
Fifth anniversary
«Nissan Argentina celebrates the fifth anniversary of its industrial project in the country. With more than 80,000 Nissan Frontiers produced in Córdoba, the Japanese brand strengthens its commitment to the growth of the industry,” the company said.
The investment decision was announced in 2015, and following the construction process of the new production lines, it launched its first unit on the local market in 2018, with an investment of 600 million dollars.

In 2020, with the aim of incorporating more technology into the plant and continuing with the development of local suppliers, Nissan announced a new investment of $130 million.
