Wanting to change your everyday menu? This chicken with orange sauce is certainly a great choice. Not only because it is very easy to make, but it is also delicious and goes with almost everything.
Check out the complete recipe with tips!
It’s very likely that you’ve already used oranges to marinate your chicken. It’s definitely a great way to bring even more flavor to the meat.
At the same time, it ends up bringing a slightly more delicate flavor than lemon and even vinegar, which are also very common for pre-preparing meat.
In this version, we will use the fruit juice to make a delicious sauce that will bring even more flavor to your chicken.
Sweet and sour orange sauce
Without a doubt, while you are cooking your sauce, you will suspect that your dish may become too sweet. This is because the smell that arises while it cooks will leave your kitchen fragrant, with the taste of super ripe fruit.
But I assure you, the combination of flavors in this sauce brings a sweet and sour touch to the preparation. This is because orange juice brings acidity, while honey maximizes the sweetness of the juice, while soy sauce brings the perfect salty touch to balance the flavors.
Preparation variations for this recipe
Here I will teach you a quick preparation, for you to do on a daily basis. But, without a doubt, this sauce can be a great choice to be served alongside roast chicken, for example.
The preparation method only gets simpler, as you will take the sauce to the pan as soon as you mix it and let it reduce on its own.
Another idea is to drizzle pieces of chicken that will be roasted with this sauce (without reducing it) and put them in the oven to bake everything together.
In the same way, I’ll leave you with another tip: this sauce also goes well with pork and, why not, shrimp.
