The regular season has not yet started, but Jonathan Drouin seems to understand his role in Colorado.
The former Canadian collected two assists on the power play Thursday night, in a 4-3 defeat for his team once morest the Golden Knights.
In the first period, Drouin passed the puck to Cale Makar who fired a one-goal shot. Ryan Johansen deflected the shot past Logan Thompson to make it 1-0.
And in the second period, Drouin started a nice passing game between Makar and Nathan MacKinnon to collect his second point of the game.
In July, Drouin signed a one-year, $825,000 contract with the Avalanche. The native of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts was a free agent following completing a six-season stay with the Habs.
In his last tour with Sainte-Flanelle, Drouin hit the target twice and provided 27 assists for 29 points in 58 games.
