After an absence of 7 years, Iraqi artist Kazem Al-Saher is preparing to release his awaited album, next month, since his last album, titled “The Book of Love,” was released in 2016, amid public anticipation.
The album of the holder of the title “Caesar of Arab Singing” includes 12 songs, including 4 songs by the late Iraqi poet Karim Al-Iraqi, and their titles are “Do not oppress him,” “What is the secret of your beauty being renewed,” “Woman of the Rain,” and “Who said men do not cry?” The album also includes a song written by Nizar Qabbani.
Along with Nizar Qabbani and Karim Al-Iraqi, Al-Saher collaborates, in his new album, which is the 25th in the Tsar’s career since the first official album in 1985 entitled “The Olive Tree,” with poets he used to sing with throughout his artistic career spanning more than 25 years, such as Asaad Al-Ghuriri. And Daoud Al-Ghannam, for the first time, cooperates with the Emirati Khalil Ailbouni, the Palestinian Dareen Shabeer, in addition to the Sudanese poet Yasser Al-Bili.
During the past seven years, during which Al-Saher did not release any album, he continued to present “single” songs, the most prominent of which were: Rebellious, Good Morning, and Dalouati.
