He Museum of the Object of the Object (MODO) has already opened the doors to its new exhibition called Healthy Mind, Body Sanowhich shows through more than 3 thousand objects how has it been evolution of medicinehygiene, health and care of it.
If there is something very clear that the pandemic left us, it is that when it comes to hygiene and health, it is an issue that concerns us all. However, these topics are rarely addressed from the perspective of public education through museums.
That is why the theme of the new MODE display It revolves around hygiene and physical, emotional and mental health.
This is the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body exhibition at the Museo del Objeto del Objeto
As we already mentioned, the exhibition is made up of more than 3 thousand pieces dating from principles of 19th century to the presentwhich are related to medicine, herbalism, medications and remedies.
With this sample, the MODE seeks that visitors can reflect regarding the birth of several of the most important medicines in the history of humanity, ancestral disciplines, the development of surgery and the evolution of pharmaceutical laboratories.
At the expo you can find from ancient surgical artifacts, as the face mask that they used for anesthetizepassing through the first birth control pills, which were invented in Mexico or by the first condoms; until reaching strange campaigns marketing of some medications, which included religious figures and even a songbook.
You can also learn hard data on topics that are hardly talked regarding and that are also very rarely addressed from a cultural perspective, this with the aim of breaking taboos.
