The first season of Loki was quite successful on Disney+, being one of the productions with great importance for the current phase of the MCU, as it was in the God of Mischief series that we saw a deeper explanation regarding the multiverse. Loki served as a preparation for what came in the following films and series, in addition to also serving as an introduction to Kang, the MCU’s big villain following Thanos.
In the second season, the production will further show the possibilities of the multiverse and should present more details regarding the villain, who will be discovered by Loki as a major threat. The second season of Loki is scheduled to premiere on October 5, 2023. Like the first year, the continuation of the story of the god of trickery will only be available on Disney+, the streaming service.
Loki will try to save the timeline
After Sylvie, the female variant of Loki, killed He Who Remains at the end of the first season, the timeline spiraled out of control and all of Kang’s evil variants became a real threat. Therefore, in the second year we are likely to see Loki alongside the AVT, trying to control the timeline and restore balance, now that Thor’s brother understands all the risks of the multiverse.
Kang must be the big threat
Kang should now appear with his famous name, being presented as the big villain of the second season. After the character was the antagonist of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the character played by Jonathan Majors should gain prominence once more.
Plot
According to the official synopsis of the series, in the second season we will see Loki, alongside other allies, on a search for Sylvie and more characters like Judge Renslayer and Miss Minutes, while the God of Mischief discovers what it means to truly possess a glorious purpose. Mobius will also return with an important role in the plot.

Tom Hiddleston will play Loki once once more, with Sophia di Martino returning to the role of Sylvie. The series will also feature the return of Owen Wilson as Mobius, in addition to the presence of Jonathan Majors as one of Kang’s variants. Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku and Ke Huy Quan are other names that make up the cast of the second season.
