KFC and Rostiks will increase prices in their restaurants today, October 5. The cost of burgers, wings, potatoes, drinks and other menu items will increase by an average of 10 – 12.5%. Information regarding the increase in product prices appeared in the Mash telegram channel.
“Boxmaster with cheese – 359 rubles, a large set of nuggets – 229, basketball duo – 494, and wings, depending on the volume of packaging, 159, 239 and 324. The same with strips, bites, sauces, coffee, foam, soda and to everyone else,” they said in publications. In addition, employees note problems with the supply of chicken following a historic rise in poultry prices.
The problem is solved by freezing stocks of chicken products so that positions do not end up in the stack, however, this measure increases the risk of spoiling the product. The FAS is already establishing the reasonableness of chicken prices. If producers cannot explain the increase in cost, then fast food prices will have to fall.
From October 1, the VAT rate in Russia increased from 10% to 20% on the sale of burgers, therefore product prices in fast food chains have become higher. However, the cost of burgers in KFC and Rostic’s restaurants did not change then. On October 4, the price of dishes at “Tasty – period” also increased.
