The well-known Barranquilla comedian Juanda Caribe, who once took part in the cooking reality show ‘MasterChef Celebrity’, has been in the news in recent days due to a judicial situation.
It turns out that the comedian also works for social causes and to do so he uses a well-known phrase: ‘yes to everything’.
However, the influencer Jefferson Cossio complained regarding the rest, arguing that he might not use said phrase.
For this reason, Juanda decided to go to legal proceedings to have formal permission to make explanatory use of the phrase and justice agreed with him.
The attorney for the Barranquillero, Abelardo de la Espriella and his law firm, announced the ruling in which the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce authorizes Juanda Caribe to use the expression.

Although the lawyer’s communication does not mention who he was complaining regarding the use of said expression, it is taken for granted that it is already a completely legal situation, that Juanda Caribe is the legitimate owner of the expression, so it can be be used by him to name his social causes.

The Barranquillero was using the phrase on his social platforms and the paisa complained regarding this situation, so Juan David Muñoz decided to go to court to avoid any inconveniences.
In this regard, one of the lawyers from the De La Espriella firm, Mauricio Maestre, assured: “It was not just regarding a brand, it was regarding the passion, effort and vision of a creator.”
Likewise, the manager of the firm and who served as superintendent of industry and commerce, Andrés Barreto, stated that content creators must protect their brands and intellectual property rights.
