Chicago Blackhawks prospect Connor Bedard had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night in a preseason game at the United Center.
In the second period, the very first pick of the last National League draft passed the disc to defender Connor Murphy following a faceoff won in the Wings zone. The guard then beat the opposing goalkeeper with a shot into the upper part of the net.

At the Amway Center, Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Jonas Johansson stopped all of the Florida Panthers’ shots in a 2-0 win.
This is a second shutout for the 28-year-old athlete in as many preparatory starts. He made 42 saves once morest the Carolina Hurricanes last Friday. Against the Panthers, he faced 21 shots.
The “Bolts” scored their two successes on the power play. Tanner Jeannot and Nick Paul were the authors of these goals, in the first and third periods respectively.
