A new compact sports car with a look inspired by the next Tesla Roadster was released in China. In this sense, the vehicle was presented to the public by the startup named Gongjianpai Auto Technologywhich is supported by Xiaomi and brings interesting features.
In general, the electric car has a minimalist look and a structure made of three-dimensional steel tubes, which makes the model lighter, weighing 1,370 kg. The car is named following SC-01 it alludes to the British sports car Lotus Elise, featuring two doors with rounded taillights.
The vehicle also has two electric motors on board, which offer around 160 kW of power each. In this way, the model’s components are able to generate a power of 425 hp and the ability to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Regarding the battery, it comes with 60 kWh of capacity, in addition to offering a range of up to 520 km per charge, according to what the manufacturer reports. The minimalist tone takes over the car’s interior, which offers a digital instrument panel, three-spoke sports steering wheel, rotary gear selector and sports seats.
The SC-01, however, does not come with a multimedia center, something that is curious, to say the least. Regarding the price, the brand did not reveal the value of the car, but the portal Car News China says it will be sold on the Chinese market for 300,000 yuan, equivalent to R$215,000.
