Manama: Malabar FC is organizing a veterans tournament called Malabar Mega Cup under Bahrain.
The tournament, scheduled to be held on October 19 and 20, will feature 16 teams. Tournament coordinator Taslim Thennadan informed that two players above 35 years of age can be included along with players above 40 years of age.
Contact 34223949 to register for the tournament, which is open to non-Indian amateur and semi-professional players only. Mohammad Farhan, a member of the committee, informed that the aim of the tournament is to raise awareness regarding the importance of exercise in this era when heart attack deaths and other mental and physical health problems are increasing in expatriate life.
Other members Yasser Arafat, Rino Skaria, Samsheer Pilakkatan, Yakub TK, Anwar, Ashraf, Kumar and Rabin Yasser spoke. Committee member Ihsan Kalakapara gave vote of thanks.
