Nike Inc. once more became the leader in the global ranking of the most valuable brands in the clothing and accessories category in 2023. As follows from the results of the annual study by Brand Finance, the American manufacturer of sporting goods has retained first place since 2015, writes Interfax.
At the same time, the value of the Nike brand decreased by 5.6% over the year and is now estimated at $31.3 billion.
Second place, like last year, is occupied by the French brand Louis Vuitton. Its value immediately increased by 12.2% and amounted to $26.29 billion.
In third position is another luxury brand from France – Chanel. It replaced Gucci in the top three, showing an increase of 27% to $19.39 billion.
Luxury product manufacturers, with the exception of the largest brands, have recently faced challenges due to the rise in popularity of sportswear, the study said. Giants such as H&M and Zara are also experiencing difficulties: over the year, the value of these brands fell by 26% and 15%, respectively.
