In his profile photo on X (formerly Twitter), Matt Gaetz points an accusing finger at Kevin McCarthy, the speaker of the House of Representatives. The politician will have difficulty convincing that he does not have personal animosity towards his colleague from a party that is torn apart.
The elected official from Florida, who has served in Congress since 2017, was still hesitant on Monday to initiate a motion for impeachment once morest his elder brother. He accuses him of having made a pact with the Democrats to avoid a “shutdown” of the government which would have caused an economic slowdown in the United States. Matt Gaetz will paradoxically need Democratic votes to dislodge Kevin McCarthy.
