In a letter addressed to the Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, the deputy for the 4th constituency of Var, Philippe Lottiaux, listed several possible solutions to relieve “the very delicate situation of professionals and the growing needs of the hotel and catering industry“.

The politician thus drew up a series of proposals. The first concerns accommodation for seasonal workers. “At this stage, more and more professionals have no other choice than to accommodate their employees by renting them apartments or building housing dedicated to them. It would therefore be necessary to facilitate and support this approach with several measures validated by professionals.“.

An evolution of seasonal contracts

Philippe Lottiaux also questions the possible developments of these seasonal contracts, “ in order to better adapt to peaks of activity, by allowing for short periods of time to deviate from the maximum working time up to a duration of 60 hours per week “, according to very specific terms. He also suggests “proposals for long-term contracts, and no longer just fixed-term contracts, for establishments not open all year round, in order to secure seasonal employees and provide, during closure periods, leave, RTT and periods training, with exemption from contributions.

The MP also announced that he would soon table several amendments on this subject within the framework of the Finance Bill and the Financing and Social Security Bill.
