ADIPEC 2023: Enhancing Efforts to Reduce Emissions in the Energy Sector

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2023, the largest forum for the energy sector in the world, were launched today, with the participation of sector leaders, policy makers and innovators from around the world, in order to enhance efforts to reduce emissions. from the current energy system.

ADIPEC 2023, hosted by ADNOC at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), will continue until next Thursday.

The event, which is being held this year under the slogan “Reducing emissions… faster… together”, includes a program covering the latest technological innovations, partnerships and digital transformation efforts related to energy, and is expected to attract more than 160,000 visitors from 164 countries in the largest session ever. .

This important event takes place just seven weeks before the UAE hosts the “COP28” Conference of the Parties, providing a platform that brings together the energy sector with other relevant sectors to agree on a future vision for the energy sector that focuses on finding solutions to reduce the sector’s emissions while ensuring high rates of growth and progress.

Many companies from different levels of the energy system are showcasing innovations and technologies that support the sector’s journey to achieve climate neutrality, including “direct air capture” technology, “carbon capture, use and storage”, green systems for hydrogen electrolysis, the use of renewable energy to produce electricity, and artificial intelligence. And the Internet of Things in the manufacturing sector.

ADIPEC provides the opportunity for its visitors to connect with more than 2,200 international companies in 16 exhibition halls and 30 international pavilions, making it the ideal platform to enhance the growth of the business sector, by providing exceptional opportunities to establish cross-sector partnerships, conclude deals and exchange knowledge.

This year, ADIPEC also includes four specialized zones aimed at facilitating cooperation between sectors and partnerships that can achieve radical changes, which are the Carbon Emissions Reduction Accelerator, the Maritime and Logistics Activities Zone, the Digitization Zone in the Energy Sector, and the Manufacturing and Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference.

The maritime and logistics activities area is located in the designated marina hall, which also includes maritime and logistics technical and strategic conferences.
