Today, Monday, American billionaire Elon Musk published a sarcastic picture of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his official account on the “X” platform.

The modified photo published by Elon Musk showed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with signs of anger, and he accompanied it with a text that said: “When five minutes pass and you have not asked for a billion dollars in aid.”

In his tweet, Musk refers to the aid the West provides to Ukraine in its war once morest Russia.

Musk’s tweet came hours following the US Congress approved a temporary funding bill that omitted aid to Ukraine.

Musk had previously angered Zelensky through an opinion questionnaire he published last October, in which he proposed a vote on the solutions he saw as appropriate to stop the war in Ukraine, including Kiev officially recognizing the Crimean Peninsula as part of Russia.

Among the options that Musk referred to in his tweet is re-running the elections in the areas that Russia recently annexed under the supervision of the United Nations, and Russia’s exit from them if the results contradict what Moscow reached.

Musk also proposed that Kiev recognize the Crimean Peninsula as Russian territory, guarantee water supplies to it, and keep Ukraine as a “neutral country.”

At the end of his post, Musk asked his followers to vote yes or no on his plan, according to the British newspaper The Guardian.

Musk’s tweet ignited widespread controversy and anger among Ukrainians, which prompted a response from the country’s president, Zelensky.

As Musk did, the Ukrainian president posted a questionnaire on Twitter at the time with two options: Which do you like more: Elon Musk, who supports Ukraine, or the one who supports Russia?

The Kremlin responded at the time to Musk’s proposal, saying that outlining a possible peace agreement with Ukraine was a “positive step.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in a conference call that Moscow is always open to negotiations to end the conflict.
