The Galaxy A04s and Moto E13 have a very similar proposal. We are talking regarding an entry-level segment, which focuses on delivering a smartphone for basic tasks at a low cost.
When we put the basic Samsung and Motorola side by side, which manufacturer has the best option in the category? The TudoCelular Comparison tells you the answer in detail now.

Samsung Galaxy A04s
As we are talking regarding a very basic segment, both have a single-piece construction made entirely of plastic. And don’t expect any certification from them that guarantees resistance once morest water and dust. Still, each manufacturer chose a path to look more premium.
Samsung chose to insert a metallic appearance and the cameras aligned vertically and individually on the back. Motorola preferred a matte finish and a small square block, which makes the sensor stand out.
Motorola Moto E13
The Galaxy’s distinguishing feature is the presence of a biometric reader, which is integrated into the power button on the side. On the other hand, the Moto responds with a more compact and lighter body than its competitor. In any case, both use a teardrop-shaped notch to house the selfie lens.
Storage expansion is guaranteed in the duo, thanks to the presence of a triple drawer with a dedicated memory card slot. Fifth generation Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 also appear on them, but no NFC for contactless payments on these cell phones.
Biometric reader for greater security on one side; more compact and lighter body than the other. We started the duel with one point each.

These devices come equipped with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen. In other words, don’t expect a high brightness level or great color reproduction here. Furthermore, their HD+ resolution ends up making the definition of images more limited.
The A04s and E13 also do not require any additional protection once morest scratches and do not support technologies to improve playback on streaming services. What will differentiate one from the other is the 90 Hz refresh rate present in the Korean, for more fluid animations than the rival’s only 60 Hz panel.
With the smoothest display of the duo, the Galaxy scores on this score.

As
Because they are entry-level models, manufacturers saved on audio and left only a mono system in these devices. The existence of only one speaker harms the user’s sound experience, especially when watching movies and listening to music.
The result of this is also a low sound power in the duo. Not to mention the quality that is lacking, as they do not present any balance between frequencies. The bass is muffled in them, the treble is distorted, while the midrange is almost non-existent.
At least the Galaxy and Moto still have a standard headphone jack, even if they don’t ship an accessory in the package.
Without major differences, we were tied.

System
The A04s comes out of the box with Android 12, but has already been awarded version 13 of the “little robot”. The E13 contains Android 13 natively. Either way, they shouldn’t provide more longevity than they already have.
Samsung put One UI Core, while Motorola used the Go Edition of Android. Both interfaces are cleaner and optimized for input hardware. In any case, the Galaxy ends up benefiting from the 90 Hz rate to give an impression of greater fluidity.
In terms of resources, the Galaxy also has Knox data encryption and some customization options, such as the brand’s theme store. In turn, the Moto only stands out for the gesture to turn on the flashlight, but the option to open the camera was not included in it.
In details, the point goes to the Korean woman.

Performance
Samsung preferred homemade hardware and inserted the Exynos 850 chip in its “cheap”, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, Motorola used a Unisoc T606 to power its smartphone, along with 2 Giga of memory. Which is the fastest among them?
Our tests indicated a victory of over a minute in total for the Galaxy. Although it was slower when opening apps, the fact that it came with twice as much RAM allowed it to hold more apps in the background.
Moving on to the benchmarks, we already see the scenario changing. Moto has a slight advantage here, with a score almost 23% higher than its competitor on AnTuTu. In games, the A04s’ GPU ends up getting the better of some heavier titles. However, don’t expect great performance in games, even in Korean.
The multitasker ends up weighing more and gives the point to the Korean woman.

Battery
As has become increasingly standard on the market, these are two more cell phones powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Same capacity, equal autonomy, right? It’s not quite like that. The A04s came out on top in our standardized tests, clocking in at almost 25 hours total and regarding an hour and a half over the E13.
When we move to charging, what do we have in them? The 15 W adapter sent by Samsung makes the Galaxy complete the process in less than two and a half hours. A time shorter than the almost three hours that the Moto needs to reach 100%, with its only 10 W accessory.
This is an easy point for Korean.

The Galaxy has a photographic set consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP blur camera. On the Moto side, we only find a simple 13 megapixel sensor. An ultrawide was missing in both cases.
The Korean stands out in the photos for recording a lot of detail, vibrant colors and good contrast for the category. Unlike the E13, which has a very limited dynamic range and captures images with very dark shadows. This is the only one to include a night mode, but the high amount of noise doesn’t make the scenes better than the A04s’ night photographs.
And speaking of the Samsung cell phone, its macro depends on favorable light to get it right and suffers from low resolution. The blur lens is good for the category and has few errors.
For the superior set, the Galaxy takes the point.

Both record videos only in Full HD resolution at 30 fps. The overall quality of the Korean is a little higher, thanks to the agile focus and stereo sound capture, features that are not present in the Moto. None of these devices have a stabilization system to deal with tremors.

Both smartphones come with a simple 5 MP front camera. They even take good selfies during the day and don’t disappoint in portrait mode, but the Moto leaves the images too saturated and ends up killing details that are more visible in the Galaxy’s records. At night, both cannot stop the drop in sharpness and the presence of a lot of noise. The footage from the front is also nothing more than Full HD.
The A04s scores another point.

These devices were officially launched in Brazil by their respective manufacturers. The Galaxy A04s arrived in the country for a suggested price of R$1,300, more expensive than the R$1,000 initially charged for the Moto E13. In the current market, the difference between them has decreased, with the Korean model costing around R$650, while the Motorola model already costs around R$570.
As any economy has an impact on the consumer’s pocket, E13 closes the Comparison with the last point.

In this entry-level segment confrontation, Samsung proved to be far superior to Motorola. The Galaxy A04s has a biometric reader for greater security, has a more fluid screen, offers more system resources, is the fastest in multitasking performance and provides a battery with greater autonomy and shorter recharge time. Not to mention its best quality cameras in all aspects.
On the other hand, the only positive point for Motorola is that it has a more compact and lighter design, in addition to its cheaper price in national retail. However, it’s worth weighing up whether it’s worth paying so little less and foregoing all the benefits you’ll find with the Korean rival.
