For 5 months, young people selected in the GBH-E2C Tremplin pour l’Emploi program have been following a refresher course with the Second Chance School. At the end of the first phase of training carried out within the E2C, the 12 young people are now entering a work-study contract for one year, spending 4 days per week in the company and one day in theoretical lessons with GEM formation.
This day of handover took place not without emotion, testifies Sylvie Batty, E2C referent: “It is always moving to see the end of promotion, but there is a different connotation because these young people are now full of hope and we will continue to follow them (…) At E2C, we know that young people’s attendance can depend on various factors and we go beyond pedagogy to support them in their interpersonal skills, but also in their administrative approach.”
Before arriving at the orientation chosen today, each student completed 4 internships during the first phase of the training, which allowed them to confirm their professional choice and refine their idea of life in a company, before be able to delve deeper into what they have faced in business and acquire the necessary skills from recognized professional speakers, to prepare for the exercise of their future sales and cash register profession, states the press release from the Tremplin pour l’emploi system. . The training will lead to an in-store Sales Consultant diploma, recognized at BAC level, and to permanent employment in a Carrefour, Fnac or Supercash subsidiary of the GBH group.
Amaury de Lavigne, GBH Indian Ocean Distribution Director, concludes: “The training started this week, we welcomed these young people for an internship and our teams are mobilized to support and train them in the field. Each apprentice is monitored by a dedicated tutor throughout their training. Our commitment to young apprentices in our Carrefour, Fnac and Super Cash brands is part of our DNA, and also meets our recruitment expectations.”
