Former US President and candidate for the Republican nomination Donald Trump issued a warning to burglars during a speech in California on Friday.

“We will immediately stop the looting and theft,” the politician told a crowd of 1,500 supporters gathered in Anaheim.

“It is very simple. If you steal from a store, you must wait to be pulled out of the store. Drawn.”

The crowd in the room repeatedly chanted ‘Trump!’ following the threat made to the burglars.

This threat comes at a time when California and other US states, such as Pennsylvania, are grappling with robbery problems.

Faced with the scourge, the City of Los Angeles set up its own squad to combat theft in retail stores last August.

The measure was taken in the wake of a robbery that occurred in broad daylight in a Nordstrom store.

Dozens of bags and clothing, worth a total of more than $100,000, were stolen in a few seconds by around thirty masked individuals dressed in black, according to Fox11.
