The projection, developed on Saturday in the poll’s partner daily newspapers, sees Vivaldi occupying only 76 of the 150 seats in the House of Representatives.
Only two parties in the outgoing coalition would record progress: Vooruit (14 seats, +5 compared to 2019) and the MR (15, +1). The other political parties would be in decline: CD&V (10 seats, -2), PS (16 seats, -3), Ecolo (10 seats, -3), Groen (4 seats, -4) and especially the Open Vld of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (7 seats, -5).
All opposition parties would emerge strengthened, with the exception of the N-VA (19 seats, -6) and DéFI (1 seat, -1). The Vlaams Belang would become the first parliamentary group, with 25 deputies (+7). The PTB and the PVDA, which form a common group in the Chamber, would record the most significant progress (21 seats, +9, including 13 for the PTB and 8 for the PVDA). The Engaged would obtain 8 seats (+3).
On the Flemish side, the nationalist bloc (N-VA and Vlaams Belang) would be one seat away from the majority in the Dutch-speaking linguistic group (44 out of 89).
By political family, the Socialists would be in the lead with 30 seats.
