In 2021, we talked regarding the app MyMedicationa solution from the Brazilian developer Luis Pontes to help control and manage medications. Of course, Apple’s native solution may be good for many people, but it is still very limited and not ideal for those who want stricter control over their medication use routine.
Taking advantage of many of the new features announced by Apple at WWDC23, MeuMedicamento arrived at your version 3.0 completely redesigned. Now, for example, it is possible to mark a medication as taken directly from the iPhone or iPad Home screen with interactive widgets, as well as track medications taken from the Lock screen.
Another very cool new feature is price monitoring, which allows you to keep a record not only of medications, but also of the prices associated with them at each renewal. It’s an interesting option for those who like to closely monitor medication expenses, but don’t necessarily want to use a financial control application to do so.
In terms of alerts, MeuMedicamento now also notifies the user if they do not register the use of the medicine within 30 minutes following the registered time of ingestion, in addition to also having support for critical alerts — which allows notifications regarding a specific specified medicine by the user override Focus settings.
To close with a flourish, MeuMedicamento is now free to download — although you still need to purchase the Pro version to add unlimited medications, low medication notifications, and custom icons. It costs R$25 and can be acquired by a one-time purchase.
