After the recommendation launched by the Ministry of Health for the entire population – especially those over 50 years of age and people with comorbidities – to apply a booster vaccine once morest Covid-19, health centers throughout the country confirmed their capacity to contain the demand necessary to stop the increase in cases.
The call to give a booster dose was made yesterday following learning of data that shook the health agenda: coronavirus infections increased 120 percent in the last month. In the last week of August, 1,480 cases were reported, while in the second week of September there were 3,187, according to the latest epidemiological report.
Although the number of cases is very far from that recorded during the peaks of the pandemic and the issue does not constitute an emergency, the consequences of contagion remain risky for those who were not vaccinated or allowed six months to pass between doses.
The worrying fact is that, according to the ministry, there are more than 10 million people in this situation. Particularly those over 50 years of age, people who suffer from comorbidities or risk diseases (diabetes, heart disease, oncological diseases, respiratory diseases and obesity, among some).
For them it was the call and the objective is not to allow the numbers to increase. The key is in prevention. In this sense, the vaccines once morest Covid-19 acquired early by the State through the portfolio led by Carla Vizzotti were the containment barrier to the emergency.

Although most of the mobile vaccination posts closed, applications continued to be given in the health centers that the portfolio led by Nicolás Kreplak has distributed throughout the territory. These are added to the neighborhood rooms that are under the orbit of the municipalities.

In the Federal Capital, the places authorized for vaccinations are all public hospitals and Health Centers (Cesac) distributed in the Buenos Aires neighborhoods. A shift system governs taken previously and the schedules are rotating from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., depending on the availability of care in each of them.

In all of them, the bivalent vaccines from the Pfizer and Moderna laboratories, acquired by the national government through the Ministry of Health led by Carla Vizzotti, will be applied free of charge.

The Ministry of Health made available the information provided by the provincial governments on the places where the vaccines that the State continues to distribute in all parts of the country are applied.

“It is important that all people from 6 months of age have a primary scheme and at least one reinforcement applied in the last 6 months and continue with the periodicity,” the government stressed.
The request is particularly for those who are within groups at high risk of developing severe forms of the disease. People considered at low risk of complications, that is, those under 50 years of age without comorbidities, are also recommended to receive a booster vaccination once morest Covid-19 annually.
