New Delhi: Netizens trolled the speech of Jai Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who knelt on the stage. The mockery in the social media exposed the pronunciation errors and other things in the speech which were not correct even following looking and reading.
Jai Shah is the son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Questions were also raised in the social media regarding the worthiness of leading Jai Shah to take the helm of cricket administration in the country despite having no experience on the cricket field. Jai Shah has been elected to the post of Asian Cricket Council President along with the post of BCCI Secretary.
The speech delivered in English was a target for the trollers. The video was posted by news agency ANI on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Most of the comments under the video are full of criticism and ridicule.
The BCCI secretary might not pronounce the word ‘Congratulate’ twice. ‘Congrajade’ and ‘Congrajet’ came out following trying twice. Many pointed out that it was like a nursery student reading a text book. Many trolls shared a video of Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar mocking Jai Shah, who came to the BCCI headship without any qualifications.
