Fall has arrived, which means it’s almost time for the Oklahoma high school volleyball postseason.

First, let’s look back at the regular season so far.

In Classes 6A-3A, returners have led teams to monumental wins while new stars have emerged. The Oklahoman has compiled a watch list for the 2023 All-City Volleyball Player of the Year, and we want to know your opinions.

Who are the frontrunners for Volleyball Player of the Year?

Fans can vote in the poll until noon Wednesday. Here are the 20 nominees. This doesn’t mean they are the only players under consideration – new candidates might arise during playoffs – but these nominees have made impressions throughout the regular season.

Dear Adedeji, So., Edmond Memorial: Since returning from an ankle injury, Adedeji has boosted the third-ranked Bulldogs (22-5) this year. She recently recorded a team-high 10 blocks in a sweep of Westmoore.

Megan Branson, Sr., Edmond Santa Fe: Branson has contributed 334 digs and 100 assists on the way to a 17-12 record. Her stat line also features 26 aces and a 2.15 serve receive rating.

Landry Braziel, Sr., Community Christian: Braziel, a University of Texas at El Paso commit, delivers for her top-ranked Community Christian (29-1) team in crucial moments. She has 303 kills with a 0.378 hitting percentage and 241 digs with a 93.4 serving percentage.

Emma Converse, Sr., Deer Creek: Converse has uplifted the Antlers (21-5) since moving from Fossil Ridge High School in Colorado. An outside hitter committed to the University of Buffalo, she has 322 kills, 258 digs, 20 blocks and 40 aces.

Ally Fees, Sr., Mount St. Mary: Returning from a state championship, Fees has continued to be stellar for the second-ranked Rockets (28-3). Her stats include 238 kills with a 0.260 hitting percentage and 11 aces with a serving percentage of 93.

Emma Gatewood, Sr., Edmond North: A middle blocker, Gatewood has been a key leader through the Huskies’ 17-9 season. She has logged 315 kills.

Parker Gladhill, Sr., Norman North: Gladhill, a standout middle blocker, has 42 blocks and 30 aces this season. With 164 kills, she has brought her career total to 636.

Victoria Gray, Sr., Community Christian: Gray is hitting 0.266% with 209 kills, 46 aces and 303 digs. Although she’s an outside hitter, Gray also has 40 assists, trailing only the Royals’ setters in that category.

Isabelle Harper, Jr., Christian Heritage: Harper has 208 kills with an average kill ratio of 34%. She also has 84 digs and a serving percentage of 98, helping Christian Heritage compile a 16-12 record.

Clare Kierl, Sr., Bishop McGuinness: Kierl, a setter, has been a consistent leader through top-ranked McGuinness’ 23-4 season. She was named MVP at the Lincoln Christian Tournament, where the Irish placed first.

Morgan Manning, Jr., Deer Creek: Manning stars as the Antlers’ libero with 460 digs, 23 aces and a 2.22 serve receive rating. Her stat line also features 10 kills and 93 assists.

Gia McGrew, Jr., Mount St. Mary: In her second season with the Rockets since moving from Florida, McGrew has continued to elevate the offense. A right-side hitter committed to Iowa, she has 316 kills with a 0.290 hitting percentage and 14 aces with a 94% serving percentage.

Amelia Mullen, Fr., Casady: Mullen, who plays all six rotations, has helped Casady achieve a 14-9 record with her breakout freshman year. She has recorded a 0.234 hitting percentage, 324 assists and 28 aces.

Miley Myers, So., Oklahoma Christian School: A powerful outside hitter and middle-back defender, Myers regularly posts a kill percentage of at least 40% in most matches. She has fueled OCS on the way to a 19-6 record.

Anna Rice, Jr., Edmond Santa Fe: A TCU commit, Rice has registered 202 kills with a 0.250 hitting percentage. She also has 72 digs and 25 blocks.

Kathrin Rowe, Sr., Edmond Memorial: The returning Gatorade Oklahoma Player of the Year, Rowe has continued to shine for the Bulldogs. A setter/outside hitter, she recently stuffed the stat sheet with 12 kills, 31 assists and 16 digs once morest Westmoore.

Delaney Sullivan, Sr., Crossings Christian: A senior libero, Sullivan stands out with 277 digs and a serving percentage of 97. The third-ranked Knights are 15-7.

Taylor Vann, Sr., Bishop McGuinness: Vann has anchored McGuinness as the libero throughout its stellar season. She received the MVP award at the McGuinness Tournament, where her team won.

Liv Ward, Jr., Mount St. Mary: The Rockets have continued to facilitate their offense through setter Ward. She has 758 assists and 78 kills with a 0.330 hitting percentage.

Addison Worley, Jr., Moore: Worley has eclipsed career milestones of 1,000 kills and 100 aces. Her season stats include 459 kills, 421 digs, 42 aces, 19 blocks and 10 assists on the way to an 18-11 record.
