iPhone 15 performs better than 15 Pro Max in endurance test

After carrying out tests with the iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max, the YouTuber Zack Nelson (do canal JerryRigEverything) published a new video in which he tested the resistance of iPhones 15/15 Plus. Unlike the larger model aimed at professionals, all entry-level devices of the newest generation have been successful.

When testing the resistance of the iPhone 15 screen to scratches, Nelson noticed (with a lot of effort) minimum level 6 marks and level 7 scratches. According to him, the glass on the iPhones screen, with the technology Ceramic Shieldit is definitely more resistant to scratches than what is present on Android smartphones.

After passing the first test, the iPhone 15 also had its cameras, its side and its back tested. Despite praising the device’s resistance, Zack demonstrated some rejection of the “lighter” color scheme adopted by Apple for the most basic line, classifying it as just “variations of white”.

The final bending test — the same one that the iPhone 15 Pro Max failed in — was carried out successfully on both the smaller and larger models. In tests applying pressure from both the back and front, nothing (apart from a brief screen failure on the iPhone 15) happened.

Thus, three of Apple’s four new devices passed the durability test, with only the iPhone 15 Pro Max having been easily bent in the first video.

According to the YouTuberHowever, this does not mean that this would happen with all models in the line, as the result may have occurred due to microscopic imperfections in the materials or flaws in the casting/machining when assembling the device.
