“It takes a good deal of madness for a young person to consciously decide to pursue an artistic existence in times like these,” says Clemens Janout. And he does it anyway. The actor, who was born in Klagenfurt in 1996 and trained at the Krauss Drama School in Vienna, founded the theater association Ars Ex Machina in Klagenfurt last year in order, as he says, to create a space for avant-garde art formats – with spoken theater as the pivotal point. The association focuses its field of activity primarily on Carinthia and Vienna.
