Health: deconjugalization of AAH and decline in dental care coverage
The Disabled Adult Allowance (AAH) will (finally) be demaritalized. This financial assistance will be allocated on an individual basis, without taking into account the spouse’s income.
Bad news for dental care coverage. This change will not be effective on October 1st but from October 15, the percentage of cost coverage for dental interventions will drop from 70% to 60% (as part of Mandatory Health Insurance). This modification will automatically apply to new care declarations as well as quotes established from this date. So do not hesitate to make an appointment with your dentist before this date.
Changes to financial aid
Every year, the Personalized Housing Allowance (APL) is revalued in October. This year is no exception, APL beneficiaries will see their aid increase by 3.5% from October 1.
The help of solidarity rent reduction (RLS), which is reserved for beneficiaries of APLs belonging to the social housing stock to obtain a reduction in their rent will also be revalued: between €45.08 and €54.51 for a person, €54.51 to €66.05 for a couple and €60.8 to €74.43 for a household with one dependent.
Territories zero long-term unemployed program : the State will lower its contribution. Until now, the State covered 102% of the gross hourly minimum wage until July 1, 2022. This contribution will be reduced to 95% from October 1, 2023 until June 30, 2024.
Changes in your daily life
The price of gas will increase : the price of the average kWh will increase to €0.11617 including tax (compared to €0.10512 including tax in September) for a contract including cooking and hot water and to €0.09324 including tax (compared to €0.08218 including tax in September) for a heating contract.
Your pine will no longer taste the same : due to new standards on salt content which aims to promote a healthier diet, the salt content of bread will be 1.4 grams of salt per 100 grams of bread and 1.3 grams for special breads.
Changes for your savings and home loan
Nothing is fixed yet, but meeting takes place this Tuesday, September 26 between Bercy and the Banque de France to revise downwards the debt rate of real estate loans which is set at 35% for the moment.
