On September 26th, Japan (ranked 2nd in the world) faced China (ranked 1st in the world) in the women’s team final.
Japan aims for its first gold medal in 57 years. Standing in their way is the host country, China, which has won the tournament four times in a row. Challenging historic feats in a major away field.
The second match is a match between Miu Hirano (Kinoshita Group/16th place) and Tokyo Olympics double champion Chen Meng (2nd place). Hirano hit the forehand side to make it 10-8, but Chen Meng, who did not give up in the long rally, conceded four points in a row and was in the lead at 10-12.
