The Philadelphia Eagles are the third team in the National Football League (NFL) with the perfect start to the season. The Super Bowl loser from the previous season won their Monday Night Game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25:11 and celebrated their third win in the third week. Only the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins also have a 3-0 record.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts didn’t have his best day, throwing two interceptions. But he also struggled with flu symptoms, as he reported followingwards. “This isn’t the first time,” Hurts said, “and for some reason it always happens in Monday games.”

Running back D’Andre Swift (130 yards) and wide receiver AJ Brown (131) were the defining players this time, although both went without a touchdown.

First win of this NFL season for Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals got their first win of the season. Although star quarterback Joe Burrow is still injured in his calf, the Bengals defeated the Los Angeles Rams 19:16. Both teams have 1:2 wins.

Dolphins quarterback Tagovailoa shines

The day before, the Miami Dolphins had also demonstrated their strong early form on matchday 3. The team from Florida celebrated an outstanding 70:20 (35:13) win once morest the Denver Broncos and still has a clean slate following three games.

Especially thanks to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins didn’t give the guests a chance on Sunday (September 24th, 2023). In the first half alone, the 25-year-old completed all 16 passes to his teammates and scored two touchdowns. On the first, he found star receiver Tyreek Hill with a 54-yard pass, who outran everyone with his enormous speed and brought the ball into the end zone for his fourth touchdown of the season.

After that, the Dolphins played themselves into a frenzy. By the end, Tagovailoa had thrown four touchdown passes. Rookie De’Von Achane brought two of them over the line. The last time Washington scored more points in an NFL game was in 1966 when they beat the New York Giants 72:41. The Chicago Bears, who beat Washington 73-0 in the 1940 finals, hold the points record.

Punt return touchdown is not enough for Saints

The New Orleans Saints suffered a setback. At 17:18 (17:0) at the Green Bay Packers, Rashid Shaheed, among others, ensured a clear halftime lead with a punt return touchdown over 75 yards – which the Packers turned around in an outstanding final quarter.

Romeo Doubs took a pass from Jordan Love into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown with 2:56 minutes left.

Confident victory for the Kansas City Chiefs

In the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory, coach Andy Reid voluntarily waived his quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The 41:10 win once morest the Chicago Bears, who also have Equanimeous St. Brown in their squad, was never in danger. The Bears only scored their ten points in the final quarter.

The Detroit Lions’ 20:6 win once morest the Atlanta Falcons was less clear but also confident. In the Falcons’ first loss of the season, the visitors failed to score a touchdown. For the Lions, Amon-Ra St. Brown was once once more the most important receiving station for quarterback Jared Goff with nine caught passes for 102 yards.

Jakob Johnson and the Las Vegas Raiders suffered their second defeat in the third game of the season. The Raiders lost 18:23 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, three intercepted passes by playmaker Jimmy Garoppolo were too many.

Black Jets series once morest New England continues

The New York Jets are not getting back on track following the injury to star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Jets suffered their second defeat of the season once morest fearful opponents New England Patriots at 10:15 (3:13). There has not been a win once morest the Patriots in the NFL since 2015.

The ambitious Baltimore Ravens also had to accept a setback. Quarterback Lamar Jackson’s team suffered its first defeat of the season once morest the Indianapolis Colts with 19:22 (19:19, 7:13) following overtime. The Washington Commanders, who started with two wins, are back down to earth following a 3:37 (0:16) defeat once morest Superbowl candidate Buffalo Bills.

The Houston Texans caused a surprise with a 37:17 (17:0) win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
