A major controversy was sparked by the Egyptian artist, Sherif Mounir, on Monday evening, following he announced his separation from his wife, Mrs. Laura Emad, before he retracted that announcement.
Sherif Mounir surprised everyone with his announcement, which he published through his official accounts on social media, in which he confirmed the divorce between him and his wife, wishing her well in her life, and commenting on the matter as a division and share.
But only minutes passed and the post became unavailable on his accounts, and Sherif Mounir did not explain the reasons that prompted him to delete the ad, and whether the matter was related to him retracting his decision, or whether there was something else that he would announce.
Sherif Mounir has been avoiding talking regarding his wife during the recent period, despite her leaving months ago and talking regarding disagreements with her daughters who moved away from her and preferred to live with their father.
Laura Emad is the second wife of the Egyptian artist Sherif Mounir, as his first wife, Mrs. Nahid, died following suffering from cancer. Sherif Mounir then announced his marriage to her friend, the artist Laura Emad.
During her artistic career, Laura Emad presented many works, but she moved away from the artistic scene when she married Sherif Mounir, before last year witnessed her return following an absence of 20 years, and her participation in the series “My Share and Your Divide.”
